Outdoors RV Rentals is a family owned and operated company that has been specializing in RV rentals since 2019. We own and maintain our own extremely unique fleet of RV Rentals.  Renting an RV is very different than renting a car, hotel or house. What precautions is Outdoors RV Rentals taking during the pandemic?

The interior and exterior will be professionally sanitized & disinfected by a Germpro Certified Specialist-. EPA-registered hospital disinfectant with lowest toxicity category—gentle enough for daily disinfecting and sanitizing NSF-registered “no rinse on food-contact surfaces” sanitizer.

How Much Does It Cost To Rent A Recreational Vehicle?

Our daily rates fluctuate according to a variety of factors, including rental model, demand, time of year, and length of trip. Please find the daily rates on our website during the online quote / booking process.

Will I Be Charged For Mileage?

We include 100 free miles per day with all of our RV rentals. If the rental comes back with more than the allotted mileage, the customer will be charged according to the following fee schedule: $0.39/mi; to $0.89/mi depending on the rental.

When Should I Reserve My RV Rental?

As soon as your dates are scheduled – our units often book out months in advance for events and holiday weekends. Rental rates also vary based on utilization, so if you wait to book, rates may increase. 

Can I Take My Pet?

Yes, we do have pet-friendly units available in each model. There is a one-time pet fee of $75 plus you will be required to add our White Glove Service package so we can combine the cleaning costs. As some of our renters have medical conditions to pet dander so we have to be very detailed oriented when cleaning. Unfortunately, we can no longer accommodate cats in our RV’s although dogs are still welcome!

What Deposits Are Needed?

To reserve a rental unit, we take a 50% non-refundable down payment that is applied toward the total cost of the rental. The remaining balance of the rental is due 30 days prior to your pick-up date.  If you want to reserve within 30 days of your pick-up date, the full amount of the rental is due to create a reservation. There is a $1000-$1,500 damage and cleaning deposit that are run on your credit card the day of pick-up as an authorization only. This puts a temporary hold on the funds. If you return the unit in acceptable condition based on your selected package, the authorization automatically clears from your account.

What Are The Regulations For Driving The RV?

Each driver must be at least 25 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to drive in the U.S.

What Are The Age Requirements?

Renters must be 25 years or older to rent at Outdoors RV Rentals. You must have a valid full driver’s license from your country, province or state. Our cancellation fee will apply to anyone who books with us but needs to cancel because of these restrictions.

Is there a minimum number of days I need to rent the RV?

Outdoors RV Rentals is now happy to offer a 5-7 day minimum.

Gorge Festival Friendly

We’re festival friendly, however we do not allow rentals to Burning Man. Were located near the Seattle International Airport and can offer flexible pickup & drop-off hours. So no Worries if your flight is delayed. Festival Friendly RV Rentals: Most our rentals are geared for camping off-grid (Boondocking). Most our rentals have multiple batteries along with solar on the roof or portable solar panels available to help keep the batteries charged.

How much lead time do you need to make a reservation?

Due to insurance restrictions, we require at least 48 hours notice to make a reservation. All of our services are first come first serve, so the earlier you reserve the more likely you will get the product and date time frame you desire.

How do I make a reservation?

You can use our secure web reservation system or call in to make your reservation over the phone. We require a non-refundable 50% reservation deposit to secure the rental, unless you are booking within 30 days of your departure date. In this scenario, the full departure balance is due to make a reservation.

Who needs to be present when we pick up the rental?

Prior to pick-up, each driver will need to check their provided email and sign and submit all the contract documents. We must also have a copy of the driver’s license for each of your drivers.

How long does the rental check-out (pick-up) process typically take?

You need to arrive at your scheduled pickup time. When you receive your reservation confirmation, we will include a walk-around of the inside and outside of an RV as well as a driving safety.

What is expected when I return the rental and how long does the process typically take?

All rentals are due back before your schedule return time on the scheduled return day. To expedite the process, you will need to ensure you return the RV full of fuel and in the condition determined by your selected package choice. The complete process should only take approximately 15 minutes.

Can I leave my car on your lot while I travel?

NO, unfortunately we have limited space for you to leave your vehicle here while you are on your trip. Most people get dropped off or take public transportation or an Uber. You can also drive your vehicle and us a local parking service such as  Republic Parking

How do I get to your location from the airport?

You need to arrange your own transportation through the local transit (Sound Transit), SeaTac Airport Taxi Service STITA Taxi, Century Car Services (1 to 14 Passengers) or rideshare (UBER, LYFT etc.). We are only located about 22 miles (approx. 25 minutes) from the airport and about a 5 minute bus ride within 100 feet of our location from the Tacoma Dome Station via bus 41 Pierce Transit.

What power do I need to hook-up the RV at a campsite?

Out Class C and B+ and trailers rentals have 30 amp connections and will come with an adapter for 15 amps (normal household plug). All campervans have use standard 15 amp household plugs.

What if there are no hook-ups available during my trip?

Every RV rental is equipped with solar panels along with an onboard generator to provide power when you are unable to plug-in. The gas motorhome generators run off the same fuel as the engine.  The generator will power all items that require 110v power including the A/C unit(s), microwave, TV, and anything else you are trying to plug into a 110v outlet. Most campgrounds have posted hours that they will allow the use of the generator because of noise and fumes.


Can I plug my oxygen or c-pap machine into the RV?

If these machines require a standard outlet (110v), you will need to either run the generator or plug the vehicle in to an external power source to plug in the machine as some of our units have inverters with extra batteries that you can use. As we do have a portable power station you can rent as backup that can be charged with solar panels or plugged into the rental as you drive. We suggest if camping Off-Grid to call us for further information on this as we will not be responsible if you do this yourself without informing us in advance. As we have had a renter discharge the rentals house batteries with a pap machine with heater after 5 days parked in the shade rendering their rental with no more power to even use the lights inside until the next day where they move the RV and parked under the sun to recharge the batteries via solar panels on the roof.

Are there restrictions on where I can take the RV?

You can drive the RV to anywhere in the lower 48 States. Canada, Mexico and Burning Man are not allowed.

Can I rent an RV in the winter?

Yes, but there are several factors to take into consideration. From first freeze to last freeze (approx. November – March), we have all our RVs winterized which means the water system is shut down and there is domestic anti-freeze in the systems. If you are traveling to a destination with freezing temperatures, you will not have use of the water system. If you want to use the water, and we deem the destination to have favorable weather conditions for water, there is a one-time $245 fee for the un-winterize/re-winterize. Insurance does not cover any damages caused by frozen holding tanks, waste tanks, water heater tanks, etc. If you choose to have water, and get damage from freezing, the repairs would be your financial responsibility.

Can I take my bicycles?

Yes, there is either a 1.5 inch or 2-inch receiver hitch on the back if you have your own bike rack to attach. You can rent a bike rack from us for a one-time fee of $65.

What if I need to cancel a reservation?

There is a non-refundable 50% down payment applied when you make your reservation. The remaining balance is paid 30 days prior to the pick-up date. If you cancel your reservation, we don’t offer any refunds.

Can I tow my trailer?

NO, as only bike racks with prior approval. 

What happens if I go on a toll road with the RV?

Some toll roads in Washington do not require cash payment. They take a picture of the license plate and send a monthly bill. Once we receive the bill for any tolls you incurred during your rental period, we will email you the total and charge the expenses to your credit card on file. We do charge a processing fee. The bills can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months to arrive at our office so we reach out as soon as possible.
