You need to arrange your own transportation through the local transit (Sound Transit), SeaTac Airport Taxi Service STITA Taxi, Century Car Services (1 to 14 Passengers) or rideshare (UBER, LYFT etc.). Every RV rental is equipped with solar panels along with an onboard generator to provide power when you are unable to plug-in. The gas motorhome generators run off the same fuel as the engine. The generator will power all items that require 110v power including the A/C unit(s), microwave, TV, and anything else you are trying to plug into a 110v outlet. Most campgrounds have posted hours that they will allow the use of the generator because of noise and fumes.
If these machines require a standard outlet (110v), you will need to either run the generator or plug the vehicle in to an external power source to plug in the machine as some of our units have inverters with extra batteries that you can use. As we do have a portable power station you can rent as backup that can be charged with solar panels or plugged into the rental as you drive. We suggest if camping Off-Grid to call us for further information on this as we will not be responsible if you do this yourself without informing us in advance. As we have had a renter discharge the rentals house batteries with a pap machine with heater after 5 days parked in the shade rendering their rental with no more power to even use the lights inside until the next day where they move the RV and parked under the sun to recharge the batteries via solar panels on the roof.
You can drive the RV to anywhere in the lower 48 States. Canada, Mexico and Burning Man are not allowed.
Yes, but there are several factors to take into consideration. From first freeze to last freeze (approx. November – March), we have all our RVs winterized which means the water system is shut down and there is domestic anti-freeze in the systems. If you are traveling to a destination with freezing temperatures, you will not have use of the water system. If you want to use the water, and we deem the destination to have favorable weather conditions for water, there is a one-time $245 fee for the un-winterize/re-winterize. Insurance does not cover any damages caused by frozen holding tanks, waste tanks, water heater tanks, etc. If you choose to have water, and get damage from freezing, the repairs would be your financial responsibility.
